Individual and co treatment (with another discipline) sessions are encouraged based on a child's needs.Rehab New England is able to service a child and the child's family with speech/language therapy,  occupational therapy and physical therapy.               

  

 Peer Groups:  At Rehab New England/Physiotherpay Associates, a child's goals can be met through individualized sessions and/or through one of our peer group programs. Our peer groups have been extremely successful in assisting children with learning and perfecting new skills in a natural context.

Sports Group:  This group is led by an occupational and physical therapist. This group is held at Rhode Island Indoor Sports facility in Warwick, Rhode Island. This group focuses on learning specific skills for basketball, baseball and soccer.
 
 
Sensory Integration and Language Group (SILG):
Led by an occupational therapist and a speech language pathologist, this goup is designed to enhance the development of social skills. Children become aware of their own sensory and emotional needs as well as how to communiate more effectively in a vairety of situations.
 
Oral Motor/Feeding Group:
Led by an occupational therapist (in conjunction with a speech language pathologist), this group focuses on decreasing oral defensiveness and on improving oral motor skills. Children are taught to see, touch, smell and eventually taste and eat new foods.
 
 
 
 Bike Riding Group:
This group is led by an occupational and a physical therapist and focuses on teaching children how to ride a bike.
 
 
Kids on the Move (KOM):
Led by an occupational therapist, Kids On the Move group focus on developing social skills and independent behavior regulation.  The therapist works with each child to bring his or her attention and arousal to an optimal level for physical and social challenges. Children learn to organize their bodies and social interactions through the use of play, movement, and peer dialogue.
 
Handwriting Group:
Led by an occupational therapist, this group focuses on teaching children captial and lower case letter formation.
